Fall at Midwest Harvest Hills: Your 2026 Season Guide

Every fall, somebody pulls into our gravel lot, steps out of the car, takes one deep breath of apple-and-hay air, and says, "Okay, NOW it's fall." We get it. That's kind of the whole point of this place.

If you're planning your first visit to Midwest Harvest Hills — or your fifteenth — here's your one-stop guide to the 2026 fall season. Bookmark it, share it with your group chat, and come see us.

The Basics: Hours & Admission

We're open every day, September 1 through October 31, from 10am to 6pm.

• Weekday admission: $10
• Weekend admission: $15
• Kids 2 and under: always free
• Toddler Tuesdays: kids 5 and under free
• Hayrides: included with admission on weekends

Cards are accepted everywhere on the property (there's no ATM on site, so don't stress about cash). Leashed dogs are welcome — just use extra caution around the petting farm. One honest heads-up: we don't offer rain checks or refunds on admission, so pick your day with an eye on the sky.

Themed Weekends: The Fall Lineup

Every weekend this fall has its own personality. Here's what's still ahead this season:

• Scarecrow Build-Off — September 19–20
• Caramel Apple Fest — September 26–27
• Farm Friends & Fall Foodie — October 3–4
• Flannel & Brews — October 10–12 (three days!)
• Pumpkin Palooza + Glow Night — October 17–18
• Superhero & Princess Weekend — October 24–25
• Halloween Bash + Final Glow Night — October 31

And on weekdays, the farm runs at a calmer pace — Toddler Tuesdays and We Read Wednesdays give the littles their own kind of farm day, and school groups can book field trips any weekday.

Meet the Petting Farm Crew

The real celebrities of this operation have four legs (or, in one case, extremely fancy feathers). Milton the goat is the calm one. Stevie the goat is... not. Lucky the pig naps professionally, and Fluffer the Silkie chicken remains one of the most photographed residents on the property. Feed bags are $1 in the gift shop, the pig ride glider runs any time we're open, and yes — the bunnies on site are adoptable.

Eats and Treats: What's Cooking

On weekends, our Eats and Treats kitchen window is where the magic happens. Caramel apples are dipped fresh every single day — regular ($6) or specialty ($10) — and our apple and pumpkin pies ($15) and apple crisp ($12) are made by hand and baked up fresh. New this year: pizza and mini donuts, because we listened. On weekdays the kitchen window takes a breather, but the gift shop is stocked with grab-and-go snacks, so nobody leaves hungry (including the caramel apples!).

Take Fall Home With You

Everything here is pre-picked and porch-ready — no lugging a wagon through the mud unless you want to. Apples come by the bag: half peck (~5 lbs) for $5, full peck (~10 lbs) for $10, or half bushel (~20 lbs) for $18. Pumpkins run $1 for minis up to $12 for the XLs, with gourds and squash at $1.50. Round out the porch with mums ($10 single-color, $22 tri-color), straw bales ($10), and corn shocks ($7).

Insider Tips Before You Come

• Join the loyalty program — you earn 1 Seed for every $1 you spend, and Seeds grow into free cookies, caramel apples, discounts, and even buy-one-get-one admission.
• Season passes are $45 and cover regular admission all season (special ticketed events excluded). Businesses can grab bulk passes at a discount as an employee perk.
• Weekdays are the quiet secret — same farm, shorter lines, $10 admission.
